The Foley Police Department is accepting applications for both certified (Police Officer II) and non-certified (Police Officer I) positions offering highly competitive salaries and benefits.

  • As of June 3, 2024, the salary range for Police Officer II POST Certified officers is $60,865 - $97,384.
  • As of June 3, 2024, the salary range for Police Officer I Non-Post Certified officers is $55,206 - $88,330.
  • Offering One-time hiring bonuses up to $5,000 for education and specialized skills and training.

We work 12-hour day or night shifts with every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday off! We feature many specialized details that play a critical role in the overall effectiveness of the Department including:
Patrol, K-9, SWAT, Code Enforcement, Accident Investigation Unit, Criminal Investigations, School Resource Officer, and Community Service Unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Must be Peace Officers’ Standards & Training Commission (POSTC) Certified or able to attend a police academy to obtain certification
  • Must pass the ACT WorkKeys (B.A.T.) or possess an Associate’s Degree or higher
  • Must hold a valid Drivers’ License
  • Must pass a psychological examination, drug test, a full driving and criminal background check, and a polygraph examination
  • Certified officers must be able to complete a physical agility obstacle course within 90 seconds
  • Non-Certified officers must be able to pass a physical agility test consisting of a 1.5-mile run to be completed within 15 minutes-28 seconds, obstacle course to be completed within 90 seconds, 25 sit-ups to be completed within one minute, and 22 pushups to be completed within one minute.
