We are a full-service city comprised of nine departments, that include our own city staffed Fire and Police departments. The Fullerton Public Works Department provides the public infrastructure, both facilities and maintenance services, essential to the City to ensure public health, safety, and the general welfare of our residents.
Public Works manages the City’s major assets and infrastructure such as the streets, buildings, parks, and other public facilities in a cohesive and integrated effort from design, construction, and to ongoing maintenance services on City projects to the standards set forth by the City Council. We strive to create projects and programs that maximize return on your tax dollar investment in its infrastructure at 30-, 50-, and 100-year horizons.
This section provides on-going services for street/sidewalk repairs and cleaning; landscape maintenance for medians, parks and City trees, building services, fleet management, water system repairs and maintenance, and sewer operations.Candidates who successfully complete the assessment process for Landscape Supervisor I will be placed on an eligible list for the respective classification, which will remain in effect for at least one year or until an insufficient number of candidates remain on the list.
All employment offers, including appointment offers to City of Fullerton employees, are conditional based upon the successful completion of a medical examination performed by the City's designated physician, at City expense. Medical exams are administered to assess an individual's ability to perform the physical requirements of this position. In addition, City of Fullerton employees appointed to safety sensitive classifications and all new hires will undergo a drug screen.
All appointees will serve a 6-month probationary period.
