Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under general supervision of the Customer Care Manager, performs a variety of complex accounting and general clerical duties in the collection of delinquent utility payments. Conducts special investigations of non-routine billing discrepancies and makes personal contact with customers to resolve billing problems. Work involves constant and extensive public contact.
Additional Information
STARTING PAY: $16.76 P/H
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School or equivalent, (GED)
- Two (2) years of experience with complex clerical or accounting duties
- Coursework in Business or Accounting
- Valid Driver's License to meet the City's insurability requirements
Other Conditions:
- Must pass a background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of experience in a responsible position involving the extension of credit and collection of delinquent accounts.
