Duties
What You'll Do:
- Supervise a team of plant operators and provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate and prioritize operational activities to ensure optimal efficiency while meeting all treatment objectives.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and systems to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose treatment process upsets and develop effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of operational activities and operator log.
- Fulfill the role of Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) and prepare and submit regulatory reports and notifications.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in wastewater plant operations.
Qualifications
This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.
What We're Looking For:
- Four (4) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by specialized training in wastewater treatment, biology, chemistry or a related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
Possession of a valid Class A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate issued by the State of Colorado.
