City of Hartford is Hiring a Systems Analyst Near Hartford, CT
The hours of this position are 40 per week. Must be available for 24 hour call back in the event of a system failure. This is a CHPEA union position.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThe examination will consist of a rating of your training and experience as contained on your application and may include a written test, an oral test, or a combination thereof. All parts of the examination, including tests and ratings, will be related to the requirements of the position. The examination is designed to measure:
Knowledge Of
- Various computer languages and use of compliers
- Prevailing practices in data processing installations related to procedures and forms design
- Familiarity with the particular computer used by the City and general knowledge of various computers, peripherals, software, trade practices, cost factors, and other related factors;
- Maintain effective relations with other divisions, departments, and employees
- Assume and carry out increasing responsibility and discretion for assisting and advising divisions and departments on matters relating to data processing
- Design procedures and flow charts of procedures and program design, to write instruction manuals and instruct programmers and operators.
