The City of Hibbing is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the City's wastewater treatment plant to ensure the efficient and effective processing of wastewater. Key duties include monitoring plant systems, conducting routine maintenance, adjusting controls, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. High School diploma, or equivalent. Class “D” Waste Water Treatment Operator’s License or; one year schooling in Waste Water Treatment related field, with the ability to obtain a Class ‘D’ license within 90 days. Self-motivated; ability to work independently, yet a team-worker Comply with respiratory face-fit test
This is a benefit eligible position.
