JOB
Marion Superior Court is accepting resumes for a full-time Magistrate in the criminal division. This assignment will be in a Level Six Court and the Initial Hearing Court. Magistrates are paid through the State. Benefits, including retirement accounts, are also through the State. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of five years of criminal law experience.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
May include any of the following: - Conduct initial hearings; - Review and rule on motions; - Review and rule on search warrants; - Preside over Probation and Community Correction violation hearings; - Preside over hearings (including remote hearings) and bench trials; - Preside over jury trials; - Other duties as assigned by the supervising Judge.
