HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Administer and develop the urban forestry programs of the City. The work of this position is distinguished by its emphasis on planning, project management, grant writing, cost accounting, public relations, distribution of resources, work evaluation, and budget development. Evaluate trees for hazards and maintenance requirements; review all development plans to ensure compliance with street tree requirements. Coordinate with and inspect work of City construction and maintenance crews, private contractors and developers to ensure compliance with forestry specifications and city ordinances. This position must plan and organize volunteers and contracted resources to maintain and develop urban forestry work. It must develop and maintain effective working relationships with the public, co-workers, and superiors; and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Indoor and outdoor working environment. Outdoor environment included being subjected to hazards from working in an environment of extreme weather conditions. Individual to work forty (40) hours a week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Perform maintenance scheduled and unscheduled overtime (must be available).
