City of Lake Jackson, TX is Hiring a Light Equipment Operator Near Jackson, TX
BASIC FUNCTION: The Light Equipment Operator is responsible for operating specialized equipment in the installation, repair, and maintenance of assigned area of responsibility.
Knowledge: Position requires a working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment. Knowledge of routine construction, repairs, and maintenance methods. Knowledge of basic safety standards.
Skills: Skills in operating light equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of assigned functional operations. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in operation of light equipment used in construction, services, maintenance, and repair.
Licenses and Certificates: Texas class B commercial driver’s license (or obtainment within three (3) months of appointment.
