The Athletic Attendant performs entry-level work assisting the Athletics Program Coordinator in facilitating practices, games, camps and clinics by attending to facility and program needs during activities. Generally, this position uses basic skills and works under close supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel items, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds and drag, push, or pull 75 pounds.
Equipment, Machines, Tools and Work Aids
Basic hand tools for field maintenance such as field rake, striping machine, and chalking machine. Safely drive a gator around the fields to deliver equipment.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
