City of Logan is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Logan, OH

Overview:

The Logan City Auditor is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to begin as soon as possible. The selected candidate will be professional, driven, experienced, and ready to take on the challenging environment facing local governments and municipal finance. There are strong expectations for success and for working as part of the team. Logan Believes strongly in its many missions and improvements are made frequently.

Job Duties and Expectations:

Primary job duties include payroll/HR processing, organization, and record keeping

Records organization and retention

Ability to work on a range of activities and procedures in a municipal finance setting

Records searching and delivery in compliance with state audits

Strong technological skills. Must be able to work up reports, navigate Microsoft word, excel, and generate reports and policies

Minimum Requirements:

Spotless record on ethics and trust

Excellent computer skills

Willingness to learn rapidly

Willingness to grow and take on dynamic problems

Willingness to be part of and grow with a dedicated team

Strong multitasking skills and experience

Preferred: Experience in local government finance and payroll

Preferred: Experience with VIP municipal software

Compensation:

Compensation may be based on experience with competetive step increases
