The Position The City of Maple Grove's is seeking an Ice Arena Maintenance specialist. In this role you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment including the Zamboni, ice edger's, HVAC equipment, and other general equipment. You will work in an exciting and diverse community while helping create a safe environment for our arena events. Come make a difference by joining our growing and diverse community! Hours vary between Monday-Friday; evenings - Saturday-Sunday; days and evenings
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Perform light maintenance including, but not limited to: room set up and take down; general cleaning of building, including windows, empty garbage cans, floors, spills, tables, chairs and vacuum carpeted areas and rugs; clean surfaces in rest rooms and locker rooms; clean the ice arena equipment and surrounding area; restock paper products; pick up outside litter; and snow removal when needed.Operates ice resurfacing machine and other ice related equipment.Performs general maintenance of resurfacing machine and other ice related equipment. Monitor all refrigeration equipment and keep necessary records and log books.Assists in monitoring HVAC equipment and other related equipment to ensure proper operation.Attend training and other staff meetings.Enforce arena safety rules and regulations.Preform closing and opening duties as needed. Ability to: Work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.Work independently.Follow oral and written instructions.Handle diverse clientele in accordance with the Community Center policies and procedures.
