What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Maintenance Worker position at City of Mequon?
Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Highway Superintendent, this position performs a variety of tasks involving semi-skilled labor and equipment operations relating to the repair and maintenance of roadways, rights-of-way, storm water drainage systems, and snow removal. The successful candidate should have familiarity with equipment and materials used in the above listed operations; the ability to respond to emergency call-in under a variety of environmental conditions; the ability to adapt to changing work assignments on a seasonal or daily basis and work well with co-workers and other City staff.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED; possession of a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL within 1 year of hire.
Current Salary
The starting salary is $54,459. Salary range is $54,459- $73,521. Excellent benefits package including:
