City of Midland, MI is Hiring a Building Inspector (Open Positions: 1) Near Midland, MI

Performs skilled inspection work in enforcing compliance with City building codes and zoning ordinance; does related work as required.

A Building Inspector is responsible for seeing that plans and specifications, and buildings in the process of construction meet all requirements as to qualify of materials, workmanship and safety precautions as set forth in City building code standards. An employee in this position must regularly exercise technical judgment and discretion based on thorough knowledge of the various ordinances and regulations for which he/she is responsible for enforcing.Under advisement of the Chief Inspector, a Building Inspector works with other inspectors to coordinate the department’s entire inspection program.
