Recreation Program Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation
HOURS WORKED: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
AFFILIATION: UAW Professional
SALARY & GRADE: Grade 12, Wage dependent upon experience
PRIMARY DUTIES
This position assists the Recreation Program Manager in conducting a year round comprehensive municipal recreation program, including summer programs, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, lacrosse, swimming and senior citizen programs/events. This position is responsible for coordinating summer camps and Biddy Basketball. Assists with programming, scheduling, public relations and performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or related field and a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. Experience in the development and implementation of effective recreation programs for all age groups and experience in marketing and public relations is preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Professional Office and possess a valid driver’s license.
