Highly responsible technical work of a specialized nature developing and maintaining the City of New Orleans' Internet-based information architecture and content. Work is accomplished via a small team tasked with providing a full suite of web services to city departments and citizens. Work also includes:
Developing guidelines for web content, emphasizing the plain language guidelines establishing in the Plain Writing Act of 2010.
EITHER: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Information Science, Information Architecture/Management or a closely related field from an accredited college or university* and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in information architecture, web development and/or content management.
OR: Six (6) year of progressively responsible experience in information architecture, web development and/or content management.
* Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify any credentials claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.This is an original entrance examination.
