Our Maintenance Technicians are eligible to participate in our laddering program in which you advance to a level II, III, or Equipment Operator with corresponding pay increases through years of service and obtaining job specific certifications.

What you'll do:
This position performs a wide variety of manual, semi-skilled and skilled tasks required to perform maintenance and repair tasks of City-owned facilities and infrastructure. Depending on the area of assignment, the employee would need some acquired skills in the use of hand tools and power tools to perform a variety of tasks. The incumbent may also operate a variety of equipment requiring skill and manual dexterity such as, but not exclusive, street sweepers, small bulldozers, front-end loaders, dump, roll-off, claw, or crane trucks. An incumbent in this class may be responsible for cleaning and maintenance which requires building and grounds maintenance tasks in an assigned area in addition for being responsible for performing a variety of other tasks.
