The purpose of this job within the organization is to provide HR administrative support and assistance to the department on a variety of human resource activities. This job works under immediate supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in basic clerical duties in support of human resources functions; performs related work as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this job. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.Essential Functions: Processes new hire and termination personnel action forms received for salary changes, name and address changes, changes to benefits, etc. Provides guidance and assistance to employees regarding a variety of HR issues.Ensures employee bi-weekly deductions are entered and updated correctly into the BAI System.Update VRS Navigator with changes to employees' records of salary changes, name and address changes, services purchases and the enrollment of new employees.Additional Duties: Will serve as a backup for the Compensation & Benefits Specialist for deduction related issues.Assist with HR Audits.Answers and directs telephone calls from the information and complaint line.Performs related work as assigned.Assist in the planning, coordination, and communication of employee events.
