Full – Time Public Works Operator
The City of Pipestone is accepting applications for a full-time Public Works Operator II position in the Public Works department.
Job Responsibilities include and are not limited to: building repair and maintenance; streets, sidewalk and parking lot clearing and repair; refuse pick-up; operation of both light and heavy equipment; cemetery maintenance and operations; maintenance and mowing of city parks; fencing; landscaping; pest control; equipment maintenance; and any other duties as required.
Requirements: Class B Driver’s license with air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain one within six months. Preferred experience performing manual labor, operating light and heavy equipment, and the ability to communicate effectively with the public. Successful candidate must pass pre-employment criminal background check, driving record check, drug test, and job-related physical exam upon conditional job offer.
Starting wage $22.77 per hour. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. with occasional after hour on call duties as required. FLSA non-exempt position.
Qualified applicants must meet a half hour emergency response time to the Pipestone City Shop.
