City of Saco is Hiring a Financial Controller Near Saco, ME
The City of Saco, Maine (Population 20,000 ), seeks an experienced, collaborative, and financially savvy professional to serve as its first Controller who will be responsible for supporting the Finance Director with monitoring, supporting, and ensuring effective budget management, grant administration, and financial analysis. The Controller provides oversight of all core accounting functions and remains current on all reporting standards, investment and banking compliance requirements, and best municipal financial practices including accounting functions, payroll processing, and preparation of financial statements and reports.
Saco is ideally situated on the mouth of the Saco River in Southern Maine along the Atlantic Ocean, less than 20 minutes south of Downtown Portland and less than two hours north of Boston, Massachusetts. Saco has a growing population, a thriving economy, and vast recreational opportunities. In addition, Saco is a coastal community with a picturesque downtown area, top-tier schools, and varied housing options.
