The City of Salisbury is seeking a qualified individual to oversee programs that protect the wastewater collection system and treatment plants to ensure that all environmental regulations and permit requirements are met or exceeded. Primary job duties are to supervise and provide technical assistance related to the activities of a wastewater laboratory, an industrial pretreatment program, and a FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) program. This position serves as Compliance Officer and will participate in various State inspections, monitor changes to state and federal regulations, and maintain and update departmental plans, ordinances and SOPs as needed. Other duties include investigating complaints and taking corrective action as necessary; preparing and managing a budget; and overseeing the development and distribution of public education materials.

Hiring range: $62,375.18 - $89,196.51 (Depending on Experience)
$2,000 sign-on bonus to be paid as a lump sum after the completion of a successful probationary period.
