Oversees all staff and participants of Day Camp. Assist Director with the overall flow of Camp and should ensure accountability and support for all Day Camp Staff. 

Assistant Directors assume the responsibilities of the Director in their absence; supervises Summer Day Camp counselors and campers; ensures safety; helps schedule and organize daily activities; ensures scheduling is accurate; communicates camp procedures to parents and campers; ensures cleanliness of work areas; organizes supplies for activities; assists counselors with behavior issues; and communicates to parents about issues and payments.

Hours: Monday-Friday; First shift hours.

To compete in the selection process: High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred with experience working with children. Must have the ability to: create and organize activities and games for the campers; act quickly and effectively in emergencies; effectively communicate orally or in written form; develop and maintain professional relationships with campers and counselors while mentoring and supervising; swim be knowledgeable regarding pool safety; and follow instructions.
