Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Property Maintenance Inspector to enforce the International Property Maintenance Code, perform field inspections of properties, and engage with neighborhoods and stakeholders on how to keep their properties up to community standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school or GED certification with a minimum of four (4) years' experience in all aspects of residential or commercial building construction;
Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver's license.
Postsecondary education desirable.
Bilingual skills desirable.
Certification as a Property Maintenance Inspector through the International Code Council (ICC) is desirable.

The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.

11 paid holidays and 2 personal leave days each calendar year.
New employees are granted 40 hours of vacation at time of hire and accrue an additional 2 weeks in their first year.
