The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Community Health Advocate. This vacancy will be assigned to work directly with clients in the Jail Diversion Program and the Municipal Court. This position will assist individuals in gaining personal success upon release from the jail by offering referrals and assistance in the highest need areas in relation to health, mental health, social services. The main goal of this position is to lead to future success of these individuals and safer communities.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience, Education, and Training
  • At least two years of college or vocational education in a Public Health Discipline or related field;
AND
  • One year of related work experience;
  • Directly related work experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Licensing/Certification
  • If operating a motor vehicle during the course of performing job duties, must possess a valid driver's license, and provide required liability coverage.
