The Impact Youll Make in this RoleAs a Director Capital Equipment Procurement, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Supervising a global team of Strategic Sourcing sub-category personnel ranging from Analysts to Managers

Interpreting global industry trends, customer requirements, and business objectives to define objectives and deliver results for Capital Equipment Procurement

Interacting with several departments within 3M Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing Technology, Divisions, staff functions, and others

Collaborating internally and externally to drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, contract execution, supplier selection and category strategies for Capital Equipment purchases

Driving procurement strategies and supplier engagements to ensure achievement of business objectives

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

Ten (10) years of experience in Strategic Procurement and/or Capital Equipment Management in a private, public, government or military environment

Five (5) years of prior Supervisory experience

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master's degree from an accredited institution.

Experience in Capital Equipment strategic procurement.

Experience in driving category strategies across different market types.

Experience working cross functionally, including with Senior Executive Leadership.

Work location:

Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic or international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $222,044 - $271,387, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidates relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
