ACCOUNTANT II

Minimum Training and Experience

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and two years of professional accounting experience; or possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, one year of full-time studies in accounting and one year of professional accounting experience; or possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, evidence that the CPA or CMA exam has been passed, and one year of professional accounting experience;

ACCOUNTANT III

Minimum Training and Experience

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and three years of professional accounting experience; or possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, one year of post graduate study in accounting (30 semester hours), and two years of professional accounting experience: or possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, evidence that the C.P.A. or C.M.A. exam has been passed, and two years of professional accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

$19.9955 to $62.9859/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $41.3558/hour

For designated positions, must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Preference may be given to applicants who possess: advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Excel; experience in grant accounting and analyzing general ledger accounts; experience with various types of financial software; and/or experience in accrual-based accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
