The City of Tucson is seeking to hire 3 Contract Officers for its Procurement Team! The City of Tucson has a centralized procurement function, in which this dynamic team contracts for all goods, services, and construction for all City departments.
The Contract Officer position at the City of Tucson’s Business Services Department assists with all stages of the procurement contracting process by assisting with solicitation, notification of vendors, issuing addenda, facilitating the evaluation process, negotiating, administering, renewing, closing out, and terminating contracts.
The City's Procurement Team believes in the value of professional development and supports and encourages its team members to engage in the procurement profession, partake in training opportunities, and pursue professional certification. The City is pleased to offer entry level Contract Officers a path of progression, as there are 3 levels of non-supervisory contracting staff (Contract Officer, Senior Contract Officer, and Principal Contract Officer), in addition to management positions above those.
