ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Process material by applying items such as spine labels, barcodes, stickers, security tags, book covers, and protective shields over CDs and DVDs, according to each branch's specifications.
Assists in the basic upkeep of all library materials including recovering, buffing, and cleaning CDs and DVDs. Includes the cleaning and repairing of books and preparing for binding.
Distribute processed materials to appropriate departments.
Assists with the receipt of items by verifying packing slips, invoices, and book orders.
Maintains documentation of accounts and prepares statistical reports.
Prepares materials for bindery and donated/gift material.
Reinforce and cover books, casing, re-casing AV items, and labeling items according to audience, genre, or format specifications.
Clean and repair of library materials.
Assist with the cataloging of added copy materials.
Sort and distribute materials for transit to and from library branches.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
Must be at least 16 years of age and have acquired or pursued a high school diploma or GED.
Customer Service experience
Must be able to pass a Library Skills test - 80%
Preferred:
Public Library experience.
