ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Process material by applying items such as spine labels, barcodes, stickers, security tags, book covers, and protective shields over CDs and DVDs, according to each branch's specifications.
• Assists in the basic upkeep of all library materials including recovering, buffing, and cleaning CDs and DVDs. Includes the cleaning and repairing of books and preparing for binding.
• Distribute processed materials to appropriate departments.
• Assists with the receipt of items by verifying packing slips, invoices, and book orders.
• Maintains documentation of accounts and prepares statistical reports.
• Prepares materials for bindery and donated/gift material.
• Reinforce and cover books, casing, re-casing AV items, and labeling items according to audience, genre, or format specifications.
• Clean and repair of library materials.
• Assist with the cataloging of added copy materials.
• Sort and distribute materials for transit to and from library branches.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

• Must be at least 16 years of age and have acquired or pursued a high school diploma or GED.

• Customer Service experience
• Must be able to pass a Library Skills test - 80%

Preferred:

• Public Library experience.
