The part-time Splash Pad Attendant is responsible for monitoring the patrons' attendance and use of the City of Wildwood Splash Pad and the restrooms during Splash Pad hours of operation. The Splash Pad Attendant must perform work safely and efficiently and must be available for weekday and weekend work assignments during the Splash Pad season from April 1st to October 1st. Examples of Duties
Monitor and administer Splash Pad facilities, including the restrooms, clean debris from facilities and stock supplies as needed
Perform general and contaminant Splash Pad clean-up protocol
Enforce and administer Splash Pad rules and regulations
Complete all necessary forms for daily operation and perform routine opening and closing procedures
Maintain thorough and accurate records, including attendance, incident and accident reports
Adhere and comply with Splash Pad standard operating procedures
Remains alert and ready to assist Splash Pad users
Conduct other duties as assigned
Report safety hazards and necessary equipment repairs to immediate supervisor
Supervise facilities to ensure proper and safe use as well as ensure Splash Pad rules and regulations are being followed
Provides good customer service to all Splash Pad patrons in the performance of duties
Consistently provide friendly, welcoming customer service to all Splash Pad users and guests
Consistently display an attitude of cooperation and ability to work and communicate well with others
All other tasks as assigned
Typical Qualifications
Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred, but training may be provided for otherwise qualified applicants
Ability to solve problems and address concerns
Ability to follow and demonstrate written and oral instructions
Ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines and objectives
Good written and oral communication skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to take emergency measures necessary to ensure the wellbeing of the Splash Pad patrons
Ability to read and comprehend safety materials and instructions
Ability to use good judgment to determine action needed during emergency situations
Ability to establish a good working relationship with employees and maintain a good relationship with the general public in all age groups
