The Department of Public Works for the City of Wildwood is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Public Works Specialist. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1) Inspection of infrastructure and capital improvement projects including the construction of concrete and asphalt pavements. 2) Assisting the Street Superintendent with maintenance of the City’s roadways, sidewalks, trails and bridges utilizing the City’s maintenance contractors. 3) Assisting with the development of capital improvement projects, including preparation of bid documents. 4) Developing systems utilizing GIS to better manage pavements, sidewalks and other infrastructure assets. 5) Managing the City’s traffic control devices for compliance with the MUTCD. 6) Responding to resident complaints and request for services. 7) Assisting with winter snow removal and deicing activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with 0-3 years of work experience. Registration as an Engineer-In-Training is preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. The successful candidate must possess a valid vehicle operator’s license. The salary range for this position is $63,359 to $91,870 and will be determined by experience and skill set. The City also offers an excellent City paid benefits package.
