Position Overview:
As a Bindery Operator, you will play a crucial role in the final stages of our printing process, ensuring that printed materials are finished to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include operating bindery equipment, performing quality checks, and collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines.
**Responsibilities:**
- Operate various bindery equipment, such as cutting machines, folding machines, and collators.
- Perform routine maintenance on bindery equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Read and interpret job tickets to understand finishing requirements for each project.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete tasks within established deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Monitor and replenish supplies as needed for the bindery department.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and work with maintenance personnel for repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
- Various hand work as needed.
- Previous experience as a Bindery Worker or in a similar role within the printing industry is preferred but willing to train the right person.
- Familiarity with bindery equipment operation, including cutting, folding, and collating machines.
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finished products.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues.
