My client is a Heavy Civil firm with a brilliant reputation within the market, a heavy Civil with a great senior management team, and a strong order book. They’ve been operating for nearly 40 years and focus on infrastructure work, underground utilities, landfill closures, excavation support systems, deep foundations, directional drilling, and demolition work. They self-perform their concrete works, SOE, excavations, piling, and demolition. The size of the projects they work on can range anywhere in value between $10M - $80M.

About the opportunity

My client is looking for a Project Manager with the capability of managing portfolio work, circa $100M, you will oversee 2 or 3 projects at once. These projects will be a mixture of Wastewater treatment plants, Airport works, and heavy highway works.

You will help take these projects from Pre-Construction through to project completion.

Responsibilities include:

• The Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of their projects, delivering exceptional results, and maintaining our commitment to quality and safety.
• Overseeing and coordinating all aspects of heavy civil construction contracts, from initiation to completion - including revenue, safety, risk, schedule, and assuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Conduct project meetings, facilitating effective communication and resolution of issues among team members.
• Prepare and review project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.

Requirements

I am looking for someone who has a track record, working as a Project Manager on heavy civil projects, and self-performing civil work. You will need at least 5 years of experience within the sector and experience managing projects between $10M - $50M.
