The Donation Processing team is a small team that provides vital support for all CityTeam programs and ministries. They process and track all cash, credit card, stock, and EFT donations for San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Portland, and Chester. 

The Data Management Specialist must proactively safeguard and promote our ministry and treat donor information with the utmost confidentiality. To be successful, you must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a positive and cooperative working relationship with others. We are looking for someone passionate about serving God and is willing to take on new challenges regularly. The Data Management Specialist will need to be flexible, adapt to the unexpected with grace, and handle conflict in a Christ-like manner. The Data Management Specialist will utilize common sense and outstanding problem-solving skills daily.

The Data Management Specialist is up to 29 hours per week, part-time and non-exempt. All of this is wrapped up in a Christian environment that values Teamwork, Accountability, Humility, Innovation, and Joy. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Apply strong attention to detail to regularly process incoming gifts to ensure high level of quality and donor satisfaction.
2. Maintain online gift platform (QGIV) and process all incoming gifts. Verify data accuracy and audit transaction flow for fraud.
3. Receipting monetary donations received via web, mail, EFT, and other.
4. Provide project and event support related to financial donations to other CityTeam departments and programs.
5. Backup Donation Processing Manager for specialized gift processing, month closing entries, and gift batch committing/processing.
6. Provide outstanding customer service through various correspondence streams, both internally and externally.
7. Ensure donation and contact information is accurately entered and updated in donor database and shared with Development and Finance staff as appropriate.
8. Contribute to the Donation Processing team's best practices in requirements gathering, solution design, data validation, and documentation.
9. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience 

• Advanced Excel user and comfortable working with large quantities of data
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to understand technical requirements from business asks and follow up for additional clarification when needed
• Adept critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and partnership skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects amidst ambiguity
• Prior experience working with relational databases
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience working with Raiser's Edge or Financial Edge

Physical Demands

• Finger and hand dexterity to feel, handle, and operate objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus 

Work Conditions 

• This job operates in a professional office environment 
• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, scanners, and mail inserters 
• Days and hours of work are typically business hours Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
• Travel 2-3 times per year, as needed to support events as it relates to financial donations 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications for CityTeam Ministries 

• Must have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Must be active in a local Christian body of believers or at least pursue community with other Christ-followers 
• Must have compatible theology on significant issues of CityTeam's Statement of Faith
• Must be committed to serving God and the body of Christ
