Civil Clothing is Hiring a Purchasing Coordinator (Apparel) Near Torrance, CA

JOB SUMMARY:

Civil Clothing Inc. is seeking a self-starter, organized candidate that has great attention to detail. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible to compile requests for materials and blanks, prepare purchase orders, keep track of purchases and deliveries but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:

  • Input all purchase orders in to NetSuite
  • Review inventory by size
  • Check availability of product in Mill websites
  • Confirm delivery with factories
  • Elevate shortages discovered and handle disputes with contractors
  • Update necessary revisions if any changes come from the vendors
  • Keep track of all blank inventory
  • Reconcile each packing list received from both Pluto and Natco if all trims were received
  • Separate the trims out to the locations each PO has been assigned through production
  • Add a trim “check list” to each individual PO to let finisher know all trims were provided
  • Have PO’s ready for warehouse to ship (UPS or DHL) or by local delivery
  • Support Data entry dept as needed
  • Assist team with any needs - picking up samples, organizing, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or related software
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a people person with positive attitude
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to details
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate well with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Willing to work overtime and weekend when necessary

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of data entry experience related in all aspects of apparel and garment industries helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.60 - $24.81 per hour
