Clampco Products is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator (entry-level) Near Wadsworth, OH

Job DescriptionClampco Products is seeking an exceptional HR Administrator to work with an experienced, collaborative HR team in our manufacturing environment! This role includes coordinating processes such as temp to hire and hourly direct hires, facilitate orientation, assist employees with inquiries, plan events, learning activities and attends community functions.
This position requires a high standard of professionalism and a gregarious personality. The HR Administrator will typically spend 20-25% of the week in the workflow assisting employees regarding human resources-related inquiries. The position reports to the department manager.
What can you Expect?The HR Administrator position has daily interaction among all employees. The given role will be exposed to sensitive, personnel data therefore respect of privacy and confidentiality is absolute. The selected individual will work alongside experienced HR personnel who will train and develop you for your future career at Clampco. You will be expected to attend educational & professional workshops, participate in Company teams, such as ESOP and Safety, attend, observe and interact in meetings to help develop your technical competency. This entry-level role will provide you with the opportunity to help others, get involved and to add value to a great environment.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in HR or Business discipline or equivalent with 6 months HR experience is highly preferred.
  • HS diploma with HR certificate and 6 months of HR experience is accepted.
  • HS diploma with 1 years HR experience in manufacturing environment will be considered.
  • 1 or more years of navigating Office software is highly desired; less experience with proven knowledge will be considered.
  • Able to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information is absolute.
Functions:
  • Schedules and coordinates pre-boarding, on-boarding and off-boarding activities for temp to hires.
  • Coordinates hourly new hire activities including introduction, orientation and training plans.
  • Utilizes software to generate building access badges, LMS training setup for temporary workforce, new hires and conducts the reverse for separations.
  • Scans documents into cloud base repository.
  • Assists with coordinating employee luncheons, retirement, and recognition events.
  • Assists with registering participants for workshops, provides data for Ohio’s Tech Credit.
  • Prepare monthly anniversary, birthday cards and other recognition certificates for employees.
  • Acts as a liaison for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, or other related Human Resource related inquiries.
  • Attends and supports local business community endeavors such as economic development, job fairs, manufacturing awareness, local SHRM and Safety Council meetings.
  • Assists with recruitment by scheduling interviews and interacting with candidates.
  • Assists with the coordination of ITAR personnel compliance needs (vision tests, etc), health fairs and other employee improvement events as needed.
  • Performs various HR administrative tasks as directed to include project assistance.
Competencies:
  • Ability to effectively communicate telephonically, emails, texts and in person.
  • Ability to collect data, establish facts, analyze, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to actively listen, take direction and have an excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to comprehend labor law requirements, attend in-person symposiums/workshops designed to improve professional and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain an HR distinction such as SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR or related in future.
Work Environment:
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., onsite with some flexibility.
  • Office position with use of general office equipment.
  • Ability to walk, navigate stairs, use PPE and follow all safety standards.
  • Lift up to 20# with or without accommodation.
  • May assist other departments with general office duties when needed.
  • Travel is negligible; must attend workshops and symposiums relevant to the position and organization needs as an ESOP.
