This person will be able to work seamlessly with the team servicing customers and creating sponsorship packages. This person will build strong relationships with clients and understand clients’ needs to proactively identify growth opportunities for the brand through a consultative approach. This role will contribute to the strategic development of the brand. Essential Functions:
Prospect and contact marketing decision-makers to schedule phone appointments, discover opportunities, and manage all stages of the sales process from identification to closure
Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services. Including customized proposal generation, sponsorship development, collecting and formulating research information, and building strategic proposals that meet the clients’ goals and needs
Demonstrate proficiency within a consultative sales methodology that focuses on developing a clear understanding of the alignment of clients’ needs to our solutions
Identifying and cultivating new relationships within the industry- cold calling and building sales leads
Research of each potential client/organization/executive before sales meeting (also true for existing clients and accounts) to be able to help establish the unique value that our packages will provide
Meet with sponsors to identify objectives and determine strategy for achieving objectives. Oversee sponsor relationships to determine if sponsor objectives are being met and track satisfaction levels and renewal potential
Networking and connecting with industry contacts (through sales calls or visits, prospecting, etc.) to establish client relationships
Collect and monitor insights and feedback from clients to provide feedback to Management
Manage and rebook clients to obtain maximum budget annually
Manage customer contacts and progress through pipeline development steps within the Salesforce CRM
Forecast expected bookings, on-boardings and revenue based on pipeline activity
Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
Attend and participate in sales meetings and industry events
Skills/Experience Required:
Degree OR 2 years of experience in B2B sales
be upbeat, confident and outgoing
be a hunter with a proven track record of generating new business
communication, written, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
dedication to customer service and account management
working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the internet
experience is a plus
positivity and enthusiasm to work every day
high sense of urgency and integrity
experience in the events industry with direct customer relationship and management focus
organizational skills and ability to multi-task
