Clarity Partners is seeking a GIS Specialist local to Chicago, IL. This individual will have a strong understanding of data management, data sourcing and query understanding. This position will report in a hybrid setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of other agency planning data to identify conflicts and coordination opportunities to assist with prioritization of projects.
  • Work closely with the Enterprise GIS team to assist in development of GIS-based planning tool platforms that help optimize output for requested tasks and requests.
  • Ability to work in an evolving team environment as well as independently depending on the project/request.
  • Create, maintain, analyze, and share project data via the ESRI ArcGIS suite as well as Power BI.
  • Ability to interface and work effectively with various levels of the client organization and other agencies.

Requirements
Requirements:
  • 3 years or more of experience as a GIS Specialist, or similar position.
  • B.S or B.A. degree in GIS, Geography, or another science-related field.
  • Proficient use and knowledge of Esri's ArcGIS suite.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting and maintaining data through PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under general supervision while managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
