Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team in there Bohemia, NY location! The ideal candidate should have 10 years of Human Resources experience and come from the construction, engineering, or architecture industry!
Primary Responsibilities
· Assist leadership team in hiring through interview participation (as necessary) and recruiting process
· Refine and oversee onboarding including follow up with supervisors and new employees to ensure engagement by new employees
· Counsel managers and employees on performance management techniques and career path planning for staff (Oversee Thrive365 talent management review process)
· Interprets HR policies and employment law for employees and managers, and coaches them to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and compliance.
· Evaluate and participate in review of various employee benefit, compensation, and retention policies (paid leave, PTO)
· Attend career fairs at universities and workforce outreach sessions
· Manage the summer internship process including working with management on intern placement and summer capstone projects
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, PHR or other human resource certifications preferred
· 10 years minimum human resource experience
· Construction, Architecture or Engineering industry experience preferred
· Tangible and specific experience in development and implementation of human resource and talent management plans
· This position is an in-office position in Bohemia, NY and may require employee to visit local NYC project sites/teams approximately 20% of the time
