Janitor

Reports to: Production Management

Department: Janitorial

Job Status: Full-Time / Hourly

Mobility Profile: On Location

Position Summary: The Janitor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the manufacturing facility.

Duties / Responsibilities:

* Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors, multiple times a day

* Cleaning of break room tables and team member areas throughout the workday

* Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces

* Clean restrooms 2 times daily, including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls

* Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap

* Clean entrance glass and other interior glass

* Work effectively with other team members

* Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, time & attendance

* Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners

* Remove trash from containers and replace torn or soiled liner

* Clean designated smoking area daily

* Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor

* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience

* Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team

* Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details

* Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 35 lbs.

* Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others.

* Work will be completed in parts of the facility that are not temperature controlled.

* Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
