Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the store manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic position that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Duties:
- Assist the store manager in supervising and training staff members
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues
- Manage inventory control and ensure accurate stock levels
- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining visual displays
- Collaborate with the store manager to develop strategies for increasing sales and improving store performance
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail management or sales is highly desirable
- Strong mathematical skills for cash handling and inventory control
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in using cash registers, POS systems, and inventory management software
