The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI engineering and team management, with a proven track record of leading and scaling AI initiatives in a large organization. This role will be responsible for strategic planning, directorate operations support, executive briefing support, program execution and oversight, and internal & external stakeholder communication and collaboration. Responsibilities:
Integration across AI Foundations (AI Factory, AI Consulting, Aimlabs), CDAO and IT to ensure a OneLM approach to Lockheed's foundational AI ecosystem to develop 21 century capabilities for our Customers missions and internal business operations
Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand stakeholder needs and set strategic vision
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AI solutions
Manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently, manage budgets and personal for successful execution
Champion the adoption of new and emerging skills, tools, and best practices in AI
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing organization with critical skill sets
Lead and manage the development of AI software and tools that are scalable, reusable, and extensible
Contribute to the organization vision and strategy
Strengthen the AI community at the organization through support of communications and collaboration
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline
Demonstrated experience in developing and leading high-performing teams in a AI or technology focused role
Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external customers and develop relationships with key stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering products on time and within budget
Experience with AI, engineering, and/or technology in the aerospace and defense industry
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with agile practices and leading agile teams
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret or Higher level Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Advanced degree in a technical field.
Demonstrated career progression in roles of increasing responsibilities.
Experience leading other engineers or small teams
Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
Experience effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions
Exhibit self-motivation, time management and interpersonal skills
Ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI clearance.
