Duties * You will disassemble aircraft or major components for over haul or modify. * You will determine required repairs. * You will visually check removed parts and report unusual wear, damage, dirt or poorly adjusted parts and accessories. * You will correct problems. * You will research/look up replacement parts in applicant technical instructions, (manuals, publications, local engineering instructions, temporary engineering instructions, etc). * You will perform complex tasks, installs, adjusts, aligns, troubleshoots and performs final functional and operational tests on a variety of major aircraft systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment * You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer. * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain required level(s) of certification and/or training. * This position is subject required to work all shifts on a rotational basis and work overtime when necessary. * This position is subject to loan or detail to other shops to meet production needs as necessary.
