Nightwing is currently seeking a Full Stack web Application Developer in Herndon, VA to work on a suite of services that will supply users with tools to automate a wide range of enterprise-wide Information Management mission activities. TS/SCI with Polygraph required Day 1 This position will include a variety of activities, including:
- Integrating AI/ML technology into a production web application.
- Participation with iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements
- Designing, developing and unit testing code for a production system and demonstration capabilities
- Developing rapid prototypes to drive out requirements and design
- Providing demonstrations and detailed walk through of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Meeting with stakeholders, analyzing requirements, developing user stories, and translating these into software development tasks
- Working with systems engineers to specify and design the final system
- Development of technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed. Mandatory Skills 1. Demonstrated experience with building web applications in the Java Spring framework. 2. Demonstrated experience with building web applications using the Angular 2 framework 3. Demonstrated experience working in Linux (Bash) shell scripting 4. Demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment or an Amazon Web Services cloud environment 5. Demonstrated experience with Solr or ElasticSearch 6. Demonstrated experience to cleanse and process (Extract, Transform, Load - ETL) large raw data sets. 7. Demonstrated experience developing web-based platforms and services to perform data analytics on large data sets 8. Demonstrated ability to design, develop, test and implement new applications based on project requirements 9. Demonstrated experience working in a project team (3-5 developers) with experience in decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadline 10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or other relevant field and minimum of six years of experience (Master's degree equates to an additional 2 years of relevant work experience) Optional Skills 1. Proficiency in Python software development, especially web service development in Flask or Django 2. Demonstrated experience with text analytics and its applications/role/use in business intelligence/business analytics (i.e. search, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, document summarization, document categorization) 3. Demonstrated experience researching and implementing machine learning algorithms for use in production systems 4. Demonstrated experience developing proof of concepts of new technologies and evaluating the state of the art in machine learning algorithms for text analytics 5. Demonstrated experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow 6. Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Pandas, D3.js, ggplot, etc) 7. Demonstrated experience with NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or DynamoDB 8. Demonstrated experience using Natural Language Processing tools such as spaCy, NLTK, Stanford CoreNLP, or Gensim Natural Language Processing 9. Demonstrated experience in Agile software development teams using scrum techniques 10. The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
