This is a Remote opportunity. Koniag Professional Services, a Koniag Government Services Company seeks a Content Manager to be a liaison between our Communications Team and our IT/Web Team. Ideally this person will have experience in communications, web design. UI/UX, 508 compliances, and working in a healthcare environment. This position will be part of a team supporting the US Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Minority Health (OMH) - Resource Center. The role will support OMH 's mission to eliminate health disparities and promote health equity among minority populations. The prospective team member must have analytical and problem-solving skills, be resourceful and able to work independently and collaboratively to advance ongoing and emerging tasks and projects, while also maintaining patience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The Content Manager will be taking content developed or compiled by the Communications team and posting it on the OMH Website. The position will help the IT team with web design/layout/format as needed. The Content Manager will also be responsible for maintaining content on the site, updating old links, ensuring current content, and ensuring client priorities are met. The position will also aid in ensuring content is 508 complaints. There also may be opportunities to be involved with translation services. Responsibilities:
  • Take text and graphics content developed by the communications team, and post onto .gov website.
  • Working with communications team on review and editing of content to ensure suitability for posting online.
  • Working with IT team on layout and format of .gov website
  • Converting documents to meet 508 compliances for accessibility.
  • Manage content of .gov website in a Drupal content management system
  • Meet with client and campaign managers to publish content based on priorities and execute designs using block editors as a SME for the overall content structure of the site. Required Skills and Experience
  • Working with Drupal websites
  • Using the Gutenberg Editor
  • Experience in preparing documents to meet 508 Compliance.
  • Experience with UI/UX tools and design.
  • Collaborating with a cross functional team of developers and communication professionals Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Scripting exp with HTML & CSS
  • Google analytics experience
  • UI/UX experience to include using graphic tools.
  • Social Media Experience
  • Agile experience
  • Work in a Healthcare environment. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree desired
  • 3 years Content Editing
  • 2 years Drupal experience
  • 2 years 508 experience
  • General knowledge of healthcare is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a valid U.S. Government PUBLIC TRUST security clearance.
