Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- The Engineering Technician shall be able to perform work with responsibility in planning and conducting projects of limited scope, or a portion of a larger project which includes leadership responsibilities, scheduling, and planning activities.
- The work involves functions such as research, data analysis, development, design, evaluation, inspection, problem solving, production, application, standardization, testing, or operation of engineering facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, or materials.
- The individual must possess basic knowledge and skills which are transferable from one engineering discipline to another. Education, Requirements and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- One of the following Education/Experience criteria must be met:
- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD
- BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
- 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
- Willingness to travel if required. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Job may require the employee to be:
- In a stationary position 50% of the time
- Able to ascend/descend stairs as required
- Able to move equipment not to exceed 25 lbs as needed
