Seeking energetic and motivated applicants to join our team as a Human Resource Assistant. This is an important role within the company and has high visibility across the executive team and organization. The individual selected must be scrappy, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused; one who displays ethics, integrity, and leadership qualities. Through exposure to leadership, project management and business planning activities, the successful candidate will develop a foundation for basic requirements necessary to be successful in a small business environment. This position is located at our corporate headquarters. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Responsibilities: This position will work closely with all departments across the company, providing an array of Human Resources support to include:
Provide new team members with an extraordinary onboarding and welcoming experience.
Assist with corporate engagement and event planning.
Assist with background screenings and communicate appropriate policies, internal procedures, and regulations with newly hired teammates.
Provide employees and Managers with customer support by answering questions and data calls
Responsible for communicating with and advising new candidates, hiring managers, and our Recruiting Team during the onboarding process
Coordinate benefits, payroll information, training, and policy information to candidates and employees
Responsible for data entry and managing employee information in the various HRISs
Assists in developing and interpreting policy guidance, regulations, procedures, directives, and issuances of Federal and non-Federal policies and laws. Qualifications :
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited University is preferred
0-2 years of proven admin or assistant experience
You have a strong drive for results and can be counted on to meet and exceed goals
Understanding of government contracting and HR operations.
You are customer-focused and can establish effective relationships and build trust with internal and external customers
You are highly organized and can effectively scope out and plan projects
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
You are solutions-oriented and can anticipate and troubleshoot potential issues
Experience with government contracting supporting headquarters operations within the last 2 years is a must
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong verbal and communication skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Extensive software skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Mastery in use of personal computers with extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
Internet research abilities
Ability to work in highly stressful situations in a fast-paced, close work environment
Ability to be able to be sedentary for several hours.
