Torch Technologies is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - Intermediate to join a team ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for various information systems (IS). This position supports the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) at Eglin AFB, FL. Responsibilities: This position requires a highly motivated individual with experience in information security, particularly with serving as an ISSO for DoD Special Access Programs.
Ensure IS are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization packages.
Ensure IS users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities.
Work with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to report all security-related incidents.
Conduct periodic reviews of IS to ensure compliance with the security authorization packages.
Serve as member of the Configuration Change Board (CCB).
Coordinate changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM and Authorizing Official (AO) / Delegated AO (DAO).
Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented (to include any anomalies).
Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management).
Maintain required IA certifications. Job Requirements Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and at minimum of 3 years of technical experience is required. Six years of technical experience may be substituted for a technical BS Degree or four years of applicable technical experience and an applicable Associates Degree.
DoD IA Technical (IAT) Level 2 certification within 6 months of employment in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M DoD 8570 directives and supplementing AF regulations; AFMAN 17-1303 based on position responsibilities.
Must already possess and be able to maintain a current Top Secret/SCI clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Knowledge and experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG).
Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Requirements Guides (SRGs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and lead/direct the work of others.
Proficiency in the use and integration of MS Office applications.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills.
Ability to perform job duties independently and with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working DoD Special Access Programs (SAP).
Understanding of development test and evaluation processes, specifically the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle for program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including AFI 99-103.
