Duties * Coordinates, schedules, staffs, and maintains status and follows-up on required actions. * Assists the leadership in the internal management of programs and activities. * Actively participates in the management of unit training by performing operational, scheduling, briefings, and synchronization duties. * Participates in the development and publishes operations orders, taskings, operational correspondence. * Maintains, publishes, updates, and manages the organizations SharePoint, in order to disseminate/share correspondence pertaining to organizational functions. * Prepares PowerPoint slide presentations for organization meetings, leadership meetings, and headquarters visits. * Uses word processing software and various training/task management systems to produce a variety of documents. * Ability to operate and posses an advance level of understanding of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. * Prepares and presents briefings to users on short term planning actions. * Attends (and chairs when applicable) coordination meetings for routine, special, and annual events. * Monitors, recommends, briefs, and maintains updated information on ceremonies, taskings and special projects. * Represents organization at coordination meetings, in-progress reviews, and planning meetings. * Independently gathers data, prepares reports, staffs, deconflicts, coordinates resources, and makes recommendations. * Resolves various problems associated with current operations execution, operational tasks, calendars/scheduling, and internal operational duties using knowledge of training management, regulations, and mission. * Identifies conflicts and makes recommendations for resolutions. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * A Secret Security Investigation is required. * May be subject to Weekends, Holidays and On-Call. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing office materials using automated systems, 2) coordinating or resolving administrative actions, 3) creating and/or maintaining operational procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
