Duties As a SECURITY ASSISTANCE ANALYST at the GS-0301-12 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: * Develop, review, calculate, and process nonrecurring cost charges, waivers, and special nonrecurring cost requests. * Provide written responses to related Inspector General evaluations/audits, and public inquiries regarding non-recurring (NC) charges, NC waivers and leases. * Reviews and analyzes security assistance requests and works closely with DoD stakeholders to develop recommendations for Senior Leadership. * Draft, assemble and coordinate Department of Defense memorandums and related background data to facilitate Security Assistance decisions. * Responds to internal and external customers on topics such as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), policy, waivers and leases, etc. * Maintain and update a detailed tracker that records security assistance program data, ensuring all entries have the appropriate and most recent information to provide a comprehensive up to date status. Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 United States Code, Section 384 and Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program 2.0 requirements. Incumbent must complete DoD SCW Basic-level certification courses within one year. Requirements for Proficiency Level 1 - At least 1 year of successful SC work experience with a performance appraisal rating of 3 or better. Incumbent must complete DoD SCW Foundational level certification requirements within one year of entering the SC position. In addition, 40 hours of continuing education (CUE) every two years.
