Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Integrated and Planning Specialist to join Space Intelligence and Weapons System (SI&WS) team supporting Rapid Space Capability (RSC) programs in Kent, WA. We are seeking a motivated career-driven professional to support program and portfolio scheduling initiatives in a growing product area. In this role, you will support RSC development programs and production using MS Project Server portfolio management. As an Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) team member, you will be required to develop proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules, maintain the in-work schedules, perform critical path analysis and what-if planning, and support the delivery of IPMR Format 6 deliverables. You will participate in all aspects of IP&S activities and execute the following to provide actionable, value-added products to their customers:
  • Program Planning
  • Develop initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule, High-Level Flows)
  • Program Scheduling
  • Develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Detailed Scheduling & Change Management
  • Develop and maintain lower-level schedules
  • Change Integration
  • Manage the change integration teams
  • Project Management
  • Lead key program initiatives to improve execution Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry.
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.
  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements.
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Shift: This position is for 1st shift Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements: This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • 5 years' experience using Microsoft Project
  • 5 years' experience in a finance, scheduling, industrial engineering, change management, strategy, program management, or project management role
  • 5 years' experience in Critical Path Methodology, analysis and reporting Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 5 years' experience in applying Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology and analysis Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master 8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.). Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Travel: Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
